The Mission
Built on the foundation and cornerstone of Jesus Christ, River Church is striving to seek and follow God's will for His church. Our desire is also to walk in unity within the body of Christ in our community.
The Vision
We seek to deepen our relationship with God and to become more Christ like through prayer, worship, and the Word. Our church family seeks to cultivate relationships to maintain unity among the body of Christ and to to make disciples by equipping people to live victoriously everyday.
Statement of Faith
Scripture
This congregation believes that the Holy Scripture, the books of the Old and New Testament, are the inspired Word of God and as such are the only source and norm of faith and are the final authority in the life of the church.
Triune God
This congregation believes that there is one God, eternally self-existent and showing Himself to us in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, who are identical in nature and having the same attributes. Deuteronomy 6:4; John 14:8-9, Acts 5:3-4, II Corinthians 13:14 and 1 John 5:7
The Person of the Father
This congregation believes that:
1. He is the known creator and sustainer of the Universe in the Old Testament, but is revealed through Jesus as Father in the New Testament.
2. He is a spirit being, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in his person and holy, righteous, and just in His character. John 4:24
3. He becomes Father to all who by faith, receive Jesus Christ as Savior and experience a spiritual birth through the work of the Holy Spirit. John 1:12, John 3:5-7
